Desktop/Workstation set up.
On your workstation:
- Email (either Outlook or Outlook Web App)
- IOC Log
- Xymon
- Footprints
- Grafana
On the monitoring computers:
Now what? Alarm going off. Who to contact.
- Service Offering/Escalation/On-call Info in WIKI – Admins phone & email info
- Consult Wiki and look up info about which particular Monitoring App is giving an alarm.
- Can reference IOC log.
- After you find who to call and call them, send follow up email and then log it.
- Other monitoring situations (NOC ((emails)), Struxureware Surveillance)
- Footprints<RFC’s (Daily Change Report) – Look at every day to see what maintenance is being done.
IOC: Global Service Alert Process
- This in case of a campus wide outage.
Admins will need keys to buildings on campus from time to time.
