Overview

General Description

The Dynamic Light System (DLS) - Malvern Nano-S Zetasizer is capable of both size measurement (.1-1000 nm) and surface zeta potential. The system is not capable of molecular weight or titration measurements. The equipment is located in Birck 1265 which requires BNC 105, 150 and Blood-borne Pathogen Training (BBP) either through REM, Guy Telesnicki (Birck) or Jill Hutchcroft (Bindley Bioscience) before system training. Training for the system takes approximately 45 min. The trained user is responsible for supplying cuvettes for the analysis. Plastic may be used for aqueous solution and quartz are required for organic solvent based solutions. Manufacture recommended minimum solution concentration is 1 X 10particle/ agent per cubic centimeter.
