  1. Input ‘Control’ in the Windows 10 Cortana search box. Then click ‘Control Panel’ from the Best Match result.
  2. Make sure the ‘view by:’ is on Large or Small icons rather than category. By default it will be on category and you won’t see the options.


     
  3. Find ‘File Explorer Options’ from the interface and click on it.


     
  4. Click ‘Clear’ and then click ‘OK’ to clear File Explorer history.
