- Turn the Ion Gauge Controller OFF by pressing the button labeled |ON one time.
- Locate the Gate Valve handle, rotate the knob clockwise until the handle feels tight and locks into place.
- Locate the Vent valve knob, slowly rotate the knob counter clockwise until the knob stops.
- Venting will take 2-3 minutes. Venting is complete when a small gap forms between the bell jar and the base.
