Software Support
"Software Support" is classified as assisting users in USING a piece of software. How do I do _________ in program _________. It's not within the CSC's mandate to teach users how to USE the software they have access to, there are exceptions of course, but this is the rule in the general case. If you are unsure if you should be helping a user with a task of this nature, ask your leadership or teammates.
In general, we are limited to installing software, uninstalling software, fixing software if it is broken or having errors. In some cases, like Outlook for example, we will also assist users in configuring the software for use with Purdue resources.
