FWR Sophos VPN Client (Used by PUSH Radiology)

FWR Sophos VPN Client (Used by PUSH Radiology)

Background

Fort Wayne Radiology (FWR) is a PUSH Partner, contracted to provide digital x-ray reading and reporting by a Radiologist.

https://fwradiology.com/

PUSH Radiology Staff send digital x-ray images and x-ray orders to FWR via an IPsec Tunnel from server to server. The images and orders go to two separate FWR servers.

PUSH Radiology Staff utilize the FWR Sophos VPN Client to create secure connections from three CSDS Managed workstations, in order to use the FWR Intellispace Client software to associate the images with the orders, which triggers the FWR Radiologist that it needs to be read and reported on. (CSDS Philips Healthcare Intellispace PACS 4.4.516.21) When the FWR Radiologist completes the report, it is sent back to the PUSH EXA PACS server via the previously mentioned IPsec Tunnel.

FWR IT - Contacts

NOTE: Each new PUSH Radiology Employee will need to have an account and password created by FWR IT.

This is a domain account, which gets associated with the Sophos VPN.

Client & Configuration Download

Once the accounts are created, or if FWR Upgrades Sophos, each user will need to log into the FWR Sophos website, found below:

After logging in, they will download their own Configuration File.

This part of the process will be coordinated by PUSH Radiology and Patrick Hawkins, Application Administrator of IT Student Life Solutions.

The Client only needs to be downloaded once. Patrick or Marla will take care of that. Each user will have to download their own configuration file from their FWR logon.

All files should be staged in the following location:

NOTE: The Client and Configuration files are saved as executables, and will require Administrator Rights for the installation.

Manual Client Install

Copy the entire “PUSH_FWR_Sophos_VPN_Client” folder from the network to the workstation’s “C:\CSDS\Temp” folder so that you can run the installers without re-authenticating to the share.

1) Run the Client first.

FWR_Sophos_VPN_Client.exe

2) Run
the following Configuration files.

3)
Go
to Network Connections and change the Adapter Options for Sophos SSL VPN Adapter to the settings below.

a. Properties > IPv4 > Properties > Advanced >
b. Make sure “Automatic metric” is not selected.
c. Change the “Interface metric” from ‘1’ to ‘20’ (Any number greater than 'one' will work!)

Shortcuts

Once you process the Client Installs on the first machine, they can be copied to other machines. They should be located in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Sophos SSL VPN Client\config

NOTE: The Client install and Adapter metric pieces have to be done on each machine.

Support

Marla Emmrich will coordinate VPN Config install requests as new employees come aboard.

If the CSC gets a call about the Sophos SSL VPN Client not working, the caller should be directed to Marla.

If Marla is not available, they should contact fwr.it@fwradiology.com.

NOTE: Common issues are users forgetting their passwords.
