Boilerkey - How to
Use this customer note to respond to tickets where a user has ALREADY registered for Boilerkey, most likely quite recently, and it sounds like they don't understand Boilerkey, or they're still trying to use their Career Account Password (CAPW).
Confirm that they're set up properly by checking that they have a PIN via Catbert (most likely with a recent timestamp), and a device properly registered on their Boilerkey page.
- If they don't have a device registered, instruct them to call in for support, in most cases this ticket would be resolved and they'd be told to reference this ticket number when they call.
- If they don't have a PIN, either tell them to call in. Or direct them to their BK page (login via password, push or password, code), and use the "Set your BoilerKey PIN" link to set a PIN. Instruct them on proper BK use copy/paste info from the generic Boilerkey customer note
The page that you're trying to log into (brown background with a black login prompt) requires the use of Boilerkey credentials, rather than your Purdue Career Account Password.
As a new user (since you didn't yet have a Boilerkey), there was a grace period where you could use your password to log into these pages.
When you activated your Boilerkey on [insert date from catbert] the grace period ended, and your Boilerkey requirement took effect.
It looks like you should be set up and ready to go with your Boilerkey credentials for your CAS logins.
When logging in, use your regular username for the login, for the password field, you'll need to use either PIN,push or PIN,CODE (from the app)

NOTE: For all Boilerkey passphrases, you should be starting with your 4-digit PIN then a comma
PUSH - push with app confirmation
Username: yourusername
Password: PIN#,push
This will 'push' a authorization request notification to your phone.
NOTE: Once you press the login button, you will only have 15 seconds to open the mobile notification, and click 'approve'. If you can't complete this in 15 seconds, or you're in an area with a slow mobile connection, you may want to try Option 2 below.
CODE - PIN with code
NOTE: If you're in an area with a slow mobile connection, or you need more time to complete your login, use this option.
Open the Duo Mobile app on your phone, select the drop down arrow under "Purdue University", tap the refresh icon and it will generate a new 6 digit pass code.
Your login should be:
Username: yourusername
Password: PIN#,######
