Steam Cirt Step By Step

Verify Identity at Purdue Person Search.

Take the Qualtrics Survey located at: https://purdue.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_aWW1EAM5JujrKxD. This will allow their email to be unlocked.

You login to: purdue.edu/apps/account and choose “Account Setup Reset.” Reset the user. Copy the 6-digit setup password down, you will give it to the user shortly.

Direct user to: purdue.edu/accountsetup. Have them fill out the top 2 boxes but note the formatting. The PUID must have a dash and the DOB must be ##/##/####.

For the bottom 2 boxes, give the user the 6-digit setup password you generated earlier.

The user will now be prompted to set up a new Career Account Password. After that, there are a series of screens which do not need to be filled out at this time (although it is fine to do so).

Now we can fix the Boilerkey Pin.

Clear the pin at purdue.edu/boilerkey>Manage>Clear Boilerkey Pin OR in Catbert.

Get them a bypass code: purdue.edu/boilerkey>Manage>Issue Duo Bypass.

Have them log in to: purdue.edu/boilerkey and click on “Manage.” Use their username as normal but for password use: CareerAccountPassword,bypass code.

Then choose “Set Your Boilerkey Pin.” They can set it to any 4-digit number they choose. Close out of the page once the pin is set, they will now be able to log in normally with pin,push or pin,bypass code.

Finally, we will check their Inbox for rules and forwarding.

Direct the user to: portal.office.com and have them log in using their @purdue.edu email address and new Career Account password. Then have them open Outlook.

Have the user choose the “Settings icon” in the top right and then type “rules” in the search box.

Select “Inbox rules” and then make sure there are no rule set that the user did not make. If so, click the trashcan icon next to the rule to delete it.

Then have the user select “Sweep” and make sure there are no sweep rules set:

Finally, have them select “Forwarding” and make sure no forwarding is set (unless the user set an address to forward to). Once that is done, the Steam Cirt can be resolved.
