COVID-19 Training for Students
CSC Reps,
Please read over this to understand Students might be calling in to get help with this Covid Training. There are some steps you can do with the students but if that does not work please reach out to the Spec on point. They can field the call and try the other steps. At that time make a ticket with what you did and assign it to the Spec on point. If there is not a Spec on point just get a Spec that is free.

Troubleshoot this a best as you can I know we do not have a lot of Brightspace training but this could be the time to try and navigate these areas in Brightspace and fix their issue. If none of these work note what you tried and forward it on to the TLT Specialist team. If you have an question let Jenn or I know.

Technical Support for Students in Health & Safety Training Courses
There are five separate sections in Brightspace, and students are enrolled by classification. All five have the same student-facing name (Health and Safety Training) but have different formal names. Below are the questions we have added to an FAQ in the course itself.
Q: What can I do if I am having trouble viewing the training?
A: There are a few options. In the top right of the presentation is an icon with four arrows pointing outward. If you click this, it will expand to full screen, which you may prefer. If you click on the three dots in the top right of the presentation, you can choose "Accessibility View" which displays a high-contrast style for easier reading, disables any animations, and supports keyboard navigation for use with screen readers. Finally, in the Additional Resources folder, you will find a Word document that has a text-only version of all the content, including the words that are shown but not spoken in some videos.
Q: What should I do if I can't get the quiz to work or it locks me out?
A: This is a rare occurrence but the first thing to try is to open Brightspace in a new browser (i.e., try Firefox if you have been using Chrome).
Q: I thought I completed the training but I am still getting messages that I have not completed all the requirements. What should I do?
A: Click on the Grades tab above and review your quiz score. If you scored less than 100%, you will need to retake the quiz, which you can do by clicking on the Health & Safety Quiz link in the Table of Contents on the left side of the course home page. If you did score 100% already, you may need to provide your address and phone information for contact tracing in myPurdue. Visit myPurdue to complete this step.
If students have questions that you cannot answer, please direct them to the appropriate “instructor” for each section. Students will not know which section they are in and do not always know their correct classification (i.e., a new beginner may not realize they are classified as a sophomore) so please check the actual course enrollment before passing along any support requests.
