Bio-fabrication

Overview

Biology fabrication is conducted mainly in two ways at Birck Nanotechnology Center:

1. cell culture-based tissue/organ modeling with cells and biological materials
2. artificial substratum from polymers

Capabilities include:

• Electrospinning and laser etching techniques to fabricate substrata for lab-on-a-chip model
• 3D cell culture-based techniques to develop tissue/organ models
