(outdated?) Disabled Computer Accounts in OnePurdue

(outdated?) Disabled Computer Accounts in OnePurdue

After 01/30/2020, all remaining CSDS computer accounts in OnePurdue were disabled; these were all computers that have been offline/unavailable for multiple migrations and after multiple attempts to contact the user(s).

If a user tries to log into one of these computers, they will receive this error:

“The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship.”

If users call with this problem, the computer account can be easily re-enabled:

  1. Open Active Directory Users & Computers (ADUC) for OnePurdue.
  2. Find the computer to enable; right-click on the object and select Enable

  3. Once the computer is enabled the user will be able to log in immediately.

Advise the user that the computer needs to be migrated to BoilerAD immediately, and create a ticket for the migration, including complete customer and computer contact information.

Add the computer into the CSDS Windows 10 x64 Prod – BOILERAD SCCM collection for re-imaging to BoilerAD.  The ticket should then be escalated to the ITAP_CSDS_BOILERAD_MIGRATION team in FootPrints for follow up.
